Steward's Report
Daisy Deeds was quick to begin. Big Deb Osti was slow to begin.
Balloon Head (eased approaching the winning post), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg spike wound. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr S. Elsum regarding Balloon Head's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Balloon Head was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr S. Elsum pleaded not guilty to the charge. Balloon Head was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Balloon Head the winner of the event.
