Steward's Report
Spicy Piper – Late scratching at 12:33 due to non–arrival (GAR 86 and LR 39). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Mrs Rosalie Kerr informed Stewards that she had a vehicle breakdown on–route to the track. The 28 day stand down was removed from Spicy Piper following the production of evidence of the breakdown, to the satisfaction of the Stewards.
Pursuant to GAR 75(6) lure driver, Mr Shaun Courts did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
Pursuant to GAR 75(7) Steward, Ms Demi Barber did not act in any official capacity for this event.
A pre-race sample was taken from Tarlee.
This event was delayed by approximately 1.5 minutes to allow for ducks to be removed from the track.
Tarlee was quick to begin. Gai Water Star was slow to begin.
Stewards spoke to Ms Jennifer Gill regarding the racing manners of Tarlee entering the home straight. After hearing submissions from Ms Gill, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight.
