Belena Bolt, Rich Azz Yeew and Remo Coffee collided on the first turn checking Sunset Magic and Rich Azz Yeew and severely checking Belena Bolt. Miss Predator and Princess Pain collided approaching the home turn. Rich Azz Yeew and Terrifying collided on the home turn. Sunset Magic and Miss Predator collided on the home turn. Terrifying raced wide in the home straight.

Bowstreet Buster was quick to begin. Southwood King was slow to begin.

Go Sniper and Miss Miyake collided approaching the first turn checking Go Sniper and causing Go Sniper to stumble as a result. Southwood King and Which Arandt collided on the first turn checking Miss Miyake, Which Arandt and Regal Gladiator. Go Sniper was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury. 

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Flaming Bob, Mr. D. Field and issued him with a severe reprimand for his failure to retrieve the greyhound by the appointed time (GAR46). In considering penalty, Stewards took into account Mr Field's lengthy involvement and prior history in the industry.

A sample was taken from Flaming Bob - winner of the event. 

Mr. G. O'Keefe, trainer of Accurate redeclared a new weight of 36.4kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Accurate last raced at 38.3kgs. 

Flynn O'Malley was slow to begin.

Accurate and Bernmar Roz collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Barbie Boy and Elusive Master collided in the back straight checking Barbie Boy. Barbie Boy checked off Accurate approaching the home turn. Silver's Sister and Ty's Little Lad raced wide in the home straight. Barbie Boy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Judge J. Loudon did not act in any official capacity for this event. 

Jack's Prince crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Miner Rush, Regal Villain and Charlie Image and severely checking Cosmic Lady. Regal Villain checked off Charlie Image on the first turn. Miner Rush, Where's Red and Jack's Prince collided on the first turn. Central Road and No Philo collided on the home turn.  

Stewards conducted an inquiry and charged Mr. Kevin Ward, the trainer of Where's Red, with a breach of GAR86(o) in that he did fail to retrieve the greyhound Where's Red for this event by the appointed time which in the opinion of Stewards was negligent. Mr. Ward pleaded guilty to the charge, Mr. Ward was found guilty and fined the sum of $150. In assessing penalty, Stewards took into account Mr. Ward's prior history and similar cases.

Stewards spoke to trainer of Don's Bullet, Mr. K. Ward and issued him a severe reprimand to for his failure to retrieve the greyhound by the appointed time (GAR46). In considering penalty, Stewards took into account that this was a consequence of Mr Ward's late arrival in event 7 and that a fine was already issued for that incident.

Satisfactory Trial Results - 

Elite Stress trialled over the 390m from box 8, weight 31.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.31, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of a nose. Elite Stress was Cleared.
