Steward's Report
Prior to the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track following consistent rainfall in the area and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing.
Anisette was quick to begin. Free Falling was slow to begin.
Inter Bengal visibly eased and turned its head to the inside at the 100m mark, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Tony Interligi regarding Inter Bengal’s racing manners at the 100m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Inter Bengal was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Interligi pled guilty to the charge. Inter Bengal was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
