Steward's Report
Sugar Shane and Mechanical were slow to begin.
Crackerjack Dean and Moraine Suzie collided approaching the first turn. Crackerjack Dean checked off Moraine Suzie on the first turn causing Crackerjack Dean and Sugar Shane to collide, checking Not Arandt. Crackerjack Dean checked off Sugar Shane in the home straight. Mechanical marred Not Arandt in the home straight.
Mechanical underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Greg Middleton, the trainer of Mechanical regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Mechanical was charged with marring. Mr Middleton pleaded guilty to the charge, Mechanical was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
