Classic Caper, Twobeeyou and Flame Flight were slow to begin. Mischief Maker and Haggis Lad collided on the first turn checking Mischief Maker. Classic Caper and Violet Desire collided on the first turn checking Mischief Maker. Classic Caper and Violet Desire collided on the first turn checking Violet Desire, Twobeeyou and Flame Flight. Haggis Lad and Thomeli Bec collided on the first turn severely checking Haggis Lad. Thomeli Bec, Mischief Maker, Violet Desire, Twobeeyou and Flame Flight collided on the home turn checking Twobeeyou, Violet Desire and Flame Flight. Flame Flight raced wide in the home straight.
