Encee Eye Gibbs and Warunda Magic were quick to begin Get Ya Some and Go On Then were slow to begin. Go On Then and Knocka Less collided soon after the start. Irenena Boy and Lektra Georgie collided approaching the first turn. Lektra Georgie and Knocka Less collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Encee Eye Gibbs, Warunda Magic and Lektra Luther collided on the first turn checking Warunda Magic. Warunda Magic and Irenena Boy collided several times approaching the home turn and again on the home turn severely checking Irenena Boy which collided with Knocka Less, checking Knocka Less.

Irenena Boy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both monkey muscles, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
