Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Flaming Bob who was engaged in this event but subsequently scratched due to illness on 30 June 2014 pursuant to GAR 79A.
She Can Whirl was quick to begin. Major Smash and Molly Michelle were slow to begin. Quirinus Quirrel, Sundance Rock and She Can Whirl collided on the first turn, checking Quirinus Quirrel and She Can Whirl. Major Smash and Quirinus Quirrel collided on the home turn. Major Smash and Molly Michelle collided in the home straight, severely checking Major Smash which faltered and pulled up as a result.
Major Smash was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right shoulder, and was humanely euthanised.
