Gee Callan was quick to begin. Psychotic Bob was slow to begin. Starzar Diamonds, Terra Verde and Classic Caper collided soon after the start, checking Terra Verde who collided with Psychotic Bob. Gee Callan checked off Mahogany Diamond approaching the first turn. Arvo's Joy, Mickey Marvel and Psychotic Bob collided on the first turn, checking Arvo's Joy and Mickey Marvel. Classic Caper checked off Gee Callan approaching the home turn. Terra Verde raced wide on the home turn.
