Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Johnny Heritage engaged in this event on 1 July 2014 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Nail Clipper and Alvin Street were slow to begin. Cheap Currency and Nail Clipper collided approaching the first turn, checking Cheap Currency and severely checking Nail Clipper, which contacted the running rail and lost considerable ground as a result. Alvin Street checked off Nail Clipper on the first turn. Cheap Currency and Johnny Heritage collided approaching the home turn. Nail Clipper, Johnny Heritage and Bluey Benz collided in the home straight, checking Johnny Heritage and Bluey Benz.
Nail Clipper was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left pencil muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Bluey Benz was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
