Steward's Report
Teardrop - Late scratching at 5.36pm on the advice of the on-track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to diarrhoea. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
High Priority was quick to begin. Madalia Mick and Addy’s Evie were slow to begin. Trust I Seek and Fidelia collided approaching the first turn. Madalia Mick and Fidelia collided on the first turn. Madalia Mick faltered on the first turn. Sneaky Sticker turned its head outwards in the home straight and marred Madalia Mick.
Madalia Mick underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured right metatarsal. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Sneaky Sticker underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion below the right elbow. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Kenneth Buxton, the trainer of Sneaky Sticker regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Sneaky Sticker was charged with marring. Mr. Buxton pleaded guilty to the charge, Sneaky Sticker was found guilty and suspended for 3 months all tracks and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
There was no head on footage of the back straight for this event.
