Steward's Report
Club official, Mr C. Moran was reminded of their responsibilities after the greyhound, Panadero Grace was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration and remediation.
Panadero Grace was quick to begin. Kiwi Billy and Dale From Sale collided soon after the start checking Kiwi Billy. Rag Time Griff crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Panadero Grace, Black Power, Magic Mark, Lacie Rose and Dale From Sale. Panadero Grace and Black Power collided on the first turn checking Panadero Grace. Magic Mark and Dale From Sale collided approaching the home turn checking Magic Mark. Black Power and Magic Mark collided entering the home straight checking Magic Mark.
Magic Mark underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left wrist. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr. Brad Sands regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr. Sands, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound‘s racing manners entering the home straight.
There was no head on footage of the back straight for this event.
