Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Hardcore Vibes.
Hardcore Vibes and Val Ali were quick to begin. Zipping Chandler and Audenzia were slow to begin.
Hardcore Vibes and Flaming Pepper collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Hardcore Vibes, Flaming Pepper and Audenzia collided on the first turn. Flaming Pepper and Zipping Chandler collided on the third turn, approaching the home turn and on the home turn. Weblec Mist visibly eased on the home turn checking Audenzia and severely checking Bingo Ringo. Hardcore Vibes crossed out on the home turn checking Audenzia and marring Weblec Mist, checking Bingo Ringo. Weblec Mist and Hardcore Vibes collided entering the home straight. Flaming Pepper and Zipping Chandler collided in the home straight.
Bingo Ringo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a toe injury to the right hind foot. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Weblec Mist underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abraded pad to the right front foot, no stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr Mark Johnson regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Weblec Mist was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Johnson pleaded guilty to the charge, Weblec Mist was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Hardcore Vibes underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left front leg injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Mario Briganti regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Hardcore Vibes was charged with marring. Mr. Briganti pleaded guilty to the charge, Hardcore Vibes was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
