Steward's Report
Fully Fledged and Grant’s Treasure were slow to begin. Misdemeanor and Defined Benefit collided soon after the start. Dr. Kye and Falsely Accused collided approaching the first turn checking Falsely Accused. Jovi Bale veered out and marred Grant’s Treasure on the first turn severely checking Defined Benefit. Jovi Bale marred Grant’s Treasure until the winning post causing both greyhounds to tail off.
Jovi Bale underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Harris, the trainer of Jovi Bale regarding the greyhound’s racing manners from the first turn to the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Jovi Bale was charged with marring. Mr. Harris pleaded guilty to the charge, Jovi Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Grant’s Treasure underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
A post race sample was taken from Fully Fledged - winner of the event.
There was no back straight head on vision for this event.
