Texicali Sweety crossed to the rail soon after the start; causing Mt. View Entry and Reiko Oreo to collide, checking Reiko Oreo. Lala Fig and Mt. View Entry collided approaching the first turn. President Peggy, Texicali Sweety and Mt. View Dodger collided on the first turn. Mt. View Dodger checked off Texicali Sweety approaching the home turn. Reiko Oreo raced wide approaching the home turn. Gimbal checked off Mt. View Dodger in the home straight. Mt. View Entry faltered in the home straight.
Mt. View Entry underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg stopper tendon injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
