A pre-race sample was taken from Hennessey.
Rapid Reiko, Tan Star, Daph's Extreme and Hennessey were quick to begin.
Kaheem Bale and Daph's Extreme collided soon after the start. Rapid Reiko and Tan Star collided approaching the first turn, checking Tan Star. Tan Star and Kaheem Bale collided on the first turn, checking Tan Star. Tan Star checked off Crackerjack Lach approaching the home turn.
Crackerjack Lach underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Crackerjack Lach – The frequency of racing of was discussed with Mr Paul Hammerstein, his comments were noted.
