An out of competition sample was taken from Winlock Benny on Thursday, 21 October 2021 pursuant to GAR 79A.
No Bob Rob – Late scratching at 11:03 am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to vomiting. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
Demon Sal was quick to begin.
Tiggerlong Red, Ice Cream Lady and Winlock Benny collided soon after the start, checking Tiggerlong Red. Sassy Sal checked off Demon Sal on the home turn. Tiggerlong Red and Sassy Sal collided entering the home straight. Tiggerlong Red checked off Winlock Benny entering the home straight. Winlock Benny tired over the concluding stages of the event.
Sassy Sal underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
