Steward's Report
Water Dragon and Kinimakatka collided approaching the first turn checking Water Dragon. My Name's Nipper and Maximum Ang collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn, checking My Name's Nipper. My Names Nipper trailed the field and lost considerable ground from the home turn to the winning post.
My Name's Nipper underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Darren Burkett, the trainer of My Name's Nipper regarding its performance on the home turn and in the home straight. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, My Name's Nipper must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Maximum Shirley - the winner of the event.
