Steward's Report
Solar Victory was slow to begin.
Solar Victory and Lubbock Lad collided soon after the start. Fritter, One Happy Hippo and Lubbock Lad collided approaching the first turn checking Lubbock Lad. Solar Victory and Lubbock Lad collided on the first turn. Fritter checked off Texicali Velvet approaching the home turn. Fritter veered outwards,visibly eased and turned its head outwards on the home turn severely checking Texicali Velvet.
Fritter underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg deltoid muscle injury and a left shoulder injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr Jason Formosa regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Fritter was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge, Fritter was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
