Steward's Report
Saint Bogan was slow to begin.
Postman Pete and Roxy Patron collided on the first turn. Postman Pete raced wide on the home turn and collided with Aston Virago; checking both greyhounds. Roxy Patron and Postman Pete collided in the home straight. Roxy Patron veered out and marred Postman Pete approaching the winning post.
Postman Pete underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Roxy Patron underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg shin soreness injury. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Ricky Coleman, the kennel representative of Roxy Patron regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Roxy Patron was charged with marring. Mr Coleman pleaded guilty to the charge, Roxy Patron was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
