Steward's Report
Itchy Kaala was slow to begin.
Shaka Big Tonks and Zipping Bambi collided soon after the start, checking Zipping Bambi. Itchy Kaala and Gold Rocks collided on the first turn; severely checking Gold Rocks, which fell. Gutter Stomper and Shaka Big Tonks collided approaching the winning post.
Gold Rocks underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left foreleg and right hindleg triangle injuries. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Gutter Stomper underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr Korey Coleman regarding the racing manners of Gutter Stomper approaching the winning post. After hearing evidence from Mr Coleman, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.
A post-race sample was taken from Zipping Bambi - the winner of the event.
