Bolt Out and Rio Hato collided soon after the start. Rowchester Patty checked off Bop Bop approaching the first turn. Rowchester Patty checked off Daylen Bale on the first turn. Daylen Bale and Bolt Out collided on the first turn; severely checking Bolt Out. Mepunga Hayles checked off Rio Hato approaching the home turn. Weblec Mist and Bop Bop collided entering the home straight.
Bolt Out underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg wrist injury. A five day stand down period was imposed.
