Well Built was slow to begin.
Ivy Wren and Papi Go Fast collided soon after the start. Super Big and Angus Rhode collided approaching the first turn. Angus Rhode, Papi Go Fast and Rilynn Bale collided on the first turn; checking Cheri Clownfish, Ivy Wren and Well Built; causing Angus Rhode to fall. Super Big checked off Rilynn Bale approaching the home turn.
Angus Rhode underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a lumbo-sacral injury. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
