Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Gleaming, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.
Jack Out was quick to begin. Mepunga Hayles, She Can Excite and Lala Fig were slow to begin.
Mepunga Hayles and She Can Excite collided soon after the start. Jack Out and Hostile Raven collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn. Tiger Blurton and Lala Fig collided approaching the home turn. Jack Out, Mepunga Hayles and Hostile Raven collided on the home turn. Jack Out faded in the home straight.
Jack Out underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right hindleg quadriceps, and left hindleg pencil/whip injuries. A five day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Kennel Representitive Mr D.Geyer, who advised that Jack Out would most likely return to 300m racing as the 450m was probably too far for the greyhound at this point of its career. In accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Mr Geyer to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Jack Out in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
