Bop Bop and Self Belief collided approaching the first turn. Rockabye Bear checked off Crispy Duck on the first turn. Shim Bob checked off Self Belief on the first turn. Self Belief checked off Rockabye Bear on the first turn. Riverdale Goldie and Soda Saville collided approaching the home turn. Shim Bob checked off Self Belief approaching the home turn. Shim Bob then faltered and tailed off. Rockabye Bear and Self Belief collided on the home turn. Self Belief faltered on the home turn and failed to finish.
Shim Bob underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right sartorius muscle and left hindleg shin soreness injuries. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Self Belief underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left scapula fracture. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
