Jerry Buzzard, Wrote The Script and Together We Can were quick to begin. Rock You Queen went up with the lids at box rise. Ice Cool Kimmi turned in the boxes, came out backwards, and took no competitive part in the event.
Jerry Buzzard and Jake Scar collided soon after the start. Jerry Buzzard, Mr. Fawnstone and Wrote The Script collided soon after the start; checking Jerry Buzzard and Mr. Fawnstone. Rock You Queen and Jake Scar collided approaching the first turn. Together We Can and Rock You Queen collided approaching the first turn. Jake Scar and Mr. Fawnstone collided on the first turn.
Ice Cool Kimmi underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Brett Mackie regarding the performance of the greyhound in the boxes. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory. Acting in accordance with GAR 71, Ice Cool Kimmi must perform a satisfactory trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
