Steward's Report
Scatterbox – Late scratching at 1:42 pm due to non–arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Mr Jeff Galea informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown on–route to the track. Stewards advised Mr Galea that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 48 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival. The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence.
Cruising Ruby, Two Phones and Birdbrook collided approaching the first turn; checking Birdbrook and Two Phones. Cruising Ruby, Let's Send It and Where's Herbie collided on the first turn. Birdbrook and Two Phones collided on the first turn. Cruising Ruby and Let's Send It collided approaching the home turn; checking both greyhounds. Cruising Ruby, Let's Send It and Two Phones collided on the home turn; checking Cruising Ruby; causing Let's Send It to stumble and fall.
Let's Send It underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
