Knowing and Dunwerkin collided soon after the start.  Last Shout, Deeming Rate, Surreptitious, Free Ride and Love The City collided on the first turn checking all five greyhounds.  Surreptitious and Love The City collided approaching the home turn.  Free Ride checked off Surreptitious on the home turn.

Bell Burner and Defensible were quick to begin.  Hurricane Harry was slow to begin.

Real Reward and Aston Velvet collided approaching the first turn checking Real Reward.  Bell Burner and Defensible collided on the first turn.  Real Reward checked off Aston Velvet on the first turn.  Bearish checked off Limit Switch and collided with Aston Velvet on the first turn.  Real Reward shifted out, turned its head outwards and marred Bearish on the second turn.  Hurricane Harry checked off Inside Fifty entering the back straight.  Hurricane Harry raced wide in the back straight.  Limit Switch galloped on Aston Velvet on the home turn.  Defensible, Real Reward and Aston Velvet collided in the home straight checking Real Reward.

Real Reward underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have split webbing and a spike wound to the right front foot, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative, Mr. Peter Presutto, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the second turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1), Real Reward was charged with marring.  Mr. Presutto pleaded not guilty to the charge, Real Reward was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ranko Bale and Aston Sunset were quick to begin.  Crispy Duck was slow to begin.

Here's Tears – Late scratching at 11.41am when Mr Robert Britton reported the greyhound to have a back muscle injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Radek Bale and Fantastic Raven collided soon after the start.  Venus Light checked off Fantastic Raven on the second turn racing wide as a result.  Radek Bale raced wide on the first turn.  Radek Bale checked off Venus Light on the second turn.  Westar Aileen and Fantastic Raven collided on the home turn.

Barooga Smoke and Lala Kiwi collided soon after the start.  Tynslee Bale and Got The Torque collided approaching the first turn checking Tynslee Bale.  Tynslee Bale and Barooga Smoke collided on the first turn.  Got The Torque and Lala Kiwi collided on the second turn.  He Shall Rodger raced wide in the back straight.  Barooga Smoke and Lala Kiwi collided on the third turn.  Camulos and Lala Kiwi collided approaching the home turn.  Camulos, Got The Torque and Lala Kiwi collided on the home turn.  Lala Kiwi brushed the running rail on the home turn.  Tynslee Bale checked off Lala Kiwi entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Miss. Ella Wilson, the handler of Tynslee Bale, regarding the greyhound initially being placed in the incorrect starting box before being relocated into the correct starting box.  Acting under GAR 86(o), the Stewards charged Miss Wilson for negligence. Miss Wilson pleaded guilty to the charge. A fine of $100.00 was imposed.

Aston Tango and Sir Champ collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Sir Champ checked off Inka Bale on the second turn.

Daph's Zac and Grace's Shout collided soon after the start.  Maelynn Bale checked off Vayda Bale approaching the first turn.  Dr. Ryker and Vayda Bale collided on the first turn checking Vayda Bale.  Tough Tears and Daph's Zac collided on the first turn and again on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Dr. Ryker and Robbie Rotten collided on the second turn.  Vayda Bale checked off Fireweed and collided with Grace's Shout on the home turn checking Grace's Shout.
