Sugar Shane was slow to begin.
Tapering Off and Where's Lesley collided soon after the start. Tapering Off, Where's Lesley and Rezzie's Choice collided approaching the first turn checking Rezzie's Choice. Where's Lesley and Ten Dollar Slaps collided on the first turn. Swift Brittany, Where's Lesley, Ten Dollar Slaps and Tapering Off collided approaching the home turn checking Ten Dollar Slaps, severely checking Tapering Off and Where's Lesley, Where's Lesley fell as a result. Swift Brittany checked off Blue Bandana in the home straight. Blue Bandana and Sugar Shane collided approaching the winning post.
Tapering Off underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Where's Lesley underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
