Steward's Report
Texan Galore was quick to begin.
Surf To Burn, Thunder Dash and Strength To Burn on the first turn checking Thunder Dash, severely checking Surf To Burn which lost ground as a result. Lily St. Regis marred Madam Evie in the home straight.
Lily St. Regis underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the right hind foot. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Garry George, the trainer of Lily St Regis regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Lily St. Regis was charged with marring. Mr George pleaded not guilty to the charge, Lily St. Regis was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Surf To Burn underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right thigh injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
