Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Lonesome Star.
Bad Medicine was quick to begin.
Lonesome Star and Campaspe Wilson collided soon after the start. Lonesome Star, Campaspe Wilson and Union Man collided approaching the first turn checking Lonesome Star and Campaspe Wilson. Brave Lad checked off Agnet Bale on the first turn checking Kanji Length. Brave Lad and Kanji Length collided on the first turn checking Brave Lad. Campaspe Wilson stumbled approaching the winning post and failed to enter the catching pen.
Campaspe Wilson underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Brian Petty, the Trainer of Campaspe Wilson regarding its performance approaching the winning post. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Campaspe Wilson must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Bad Medicine - the winner of the event.
