A pre-race sample was taken from Halwes.
Way Up North was slow to begin.
Stan's Hope, Crown Sebon, Bush Tiger, Lyrical Lad and Blackpool Cruz collided approaching the first turn checking Stan's Hope and Bush Tiger. Way Up North brushed the running rail on the first turn and lost ground as a result. Halwes and Lyrical Lad collided entering the home straight.
A post-race sample was taken from Block Star - the winner of the event.
