Nangar Troy was slow to begin.
Siala Giblet crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Super Sparkle and Red Hot Lady. Super Sparkle and Nangar Troy collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Zipping Slade and Siala Giblet collided on the home turn checking Siala Giblet. Your Embrace and Shazbot collided entering the home straight. Your Embrace turned its head outwards and marred Shazbot in the home straight checking Shazbot.
Your Embrace underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Michael Bowerman, the Trainer of Your Embrace regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home striaght. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Your Embrace was charged with marring. Mr Bowerman pleaded guilty to the charge, Your Embrace was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
