Steward's Report
Myola Sunrise galloped on Jayville Menace approaching the first turn, checking Our Frankie and Rower's Rule. Jayville Menace and Rower's Rule collided on the first turn. Myola Sunrise checked off Jayville Menace on the first turn. Jayville Menace shifted wide approaching the home turn and collided with Rower's Rule and On The Air. Lenny's Jagger turned its head out approaching the home turn and marred Jayville Menace. Destroy We Said and Halo Lad collided entering the home straight.
Lenny's Jagger underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg back muscle injury. Stewards spoke to Mr Korey Coleman, the representative of Lenny's Jagger regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Lenny's Jagger was charged with marring. Mr Coleman pleaded guilty to the charge, Lenny's Jagger was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Jayville Menace underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Jason Formosa, the trainer of Jayville Menace regarding its performance approaching the home turn. After hearing evidence from Mr Formosa, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71 Jayville Menace must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
