Steward's Report
Stewards discussed the frequency of racing for Bugs with trainer, Mr Jason Formosa and noted his comments.
Aston Tracy was quick to begin.
Bugs, Ella Grace and Naughty Shorty collided soon after the start, checking Ella Grace. Hold Fast Bella checked off Aston Tracy on the first turn; checking Ella Grace and Money Wheel. Hold Fast Bella checked off Bugs approaching the home turn. Ella Grace checked off Bugs approaching the home turn.
Bugs underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
A post-race sample was taken from Bugs - unplaced in the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr Brett Cook, the trainer of Yeah Sweetie regarding its improved performance in this event. Mr Cook stated that the greyhound received interference at its most recent start and in his opinion with luck in running he considered the greyhound a place chance in tonight's event. A post-race sample was taken from Yeah Sweetie - the winner of the event.
