Saint Prue, Albert's Magic and Penshurst Lass collided approaching the first turn, checking Penshurst Lass. Inga Lenny galloped on Menari Joe approaching the first turn, checking Halloumi. Halloumi, Saint Prue and Albert's Magic collided on the first turn; checking Saint Prue and Albert's Magic. Saint Prue galloped on Albert's Magic approaching the home turn. Menari Joe, Inga Lenny and Myola Queen collided approaching the home turn; severely checking Myola Queen. Namajunas checked off Myola Queen on the home turn. Saint Prue checked off Namajunas entering the home straight.
Halloumi underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
