Lady Lily Hook – Late scratching at 7.34am when Mr. Charlie Galea reported the greyhound to have a hock injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Grenadier Prince – New declared weight of 33.7 kg, last raced at 32.5 kg.
Soda Extreme and Esava collided on the first turn. Jam Jam checked off Soda Extreme on the second turn. Surreptitious and Soda Extreme collided entering the home straight. Grenadier Prince turned its head outwards checking Rio Tommy in the home straight.
Jam Jam underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Grenadier Prince underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. Paul Anderton regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B(1), Grenadier Prince was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Anderton pleaded guilty to the charge and Grenadier Prince must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B(1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
