Steward's Report
Joyous Moment was a late scratching at 2.49pm by order of Stewards after it was established that the incorrect greyhound had been presented. At a subsequent inquiry, the Stewards charged representative Mr. R Camilleri (incorrectly loaded wrong greyhound) with a breach of GAR 31 for failing to present the correct greyhound to the Stewards for this event. Mr. J Wickham on behalf of Mr. R Camilleri pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $250. The 28 days stand-down on Joyous Moment was revoked.
A pre-race sample was taken from Barefoot Barry.
Lala Hibiscus was slow to begin.
Aston Shadow and Roxy Rum Pumper collided soon after the start. Barefoot Barry checked off Aston Shadow approaching the first turn. Roxy Rum Pumper galloped on Aston Shadow on the home turn checking Black Phoenix. Barefoot Barry and Black Phoenix collided entering the home straight.
