Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Bartlett regarding the racing manners of Deck Forty Nine in the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Bartlett, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

Union Man underwent a post-race veterinary examination -  no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. John Higgins, the trainer regarding the greyhound's performance in the home straight.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Union Man must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Prince Archer underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hock fracture.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Joffa's Monaro checked off Brilliant Brian approaching the first turn.  Flying Hercules and Seabrook Stack collided on the first turn checking Flying Hercules.  Seabrook Stack checked off Little Yaala in the back straight.  Flying Hercules checked off Aerolithology on the second turn.  Brilliant Brian and Little Yaala collided on the home turn. 

Cawbourne Coco and Trout collided soon after the start.  Litigator checked off Coco Lilly in the back straight.  Bad Medicine checked off Coco Lilly approaching the second turn checking Litigator.  Clean Slate checked off Litigator on the home turn checking Cawbourne Coco and Exclusively Mine. 

Mahogany Storm and Loch were slow to begin.

Loch faltered approaching the first turn and lost ground.  Loch raced wide on the home turn.

Loch underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left sesamoid injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

There's My Spot was slow to begin.

Lonely Jenny and My My My collided approaching the first turn checking Lonely Jenny.  There's My Spot and Bissaka Spider collided approaching the first turn checking Bissaka Spider.  Lonely Jenny, Bissaka Spider and My My My collided on the first turn severely checking all three greyhounds.  

There's My Spot underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a left sesamoid injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Joyous Moment was a late scratching at 2.49pm by order of Stewards after it was established that the incorrect greyhound had been presented.  At a subsequent inquiry, the Stewards charged representative Mr. R Camilleri (incorrectly loaded wrong greyhound) with a breach of GAR 31 for failing to present the correct greyhound to the Stewards for this event.  Mr. J Wickham on behalf of Mr. R Camilleri pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $250.  The 28 days stand-down on Joyous Moment was revoked.
