Solar Rock and Union Man collided soon after the start checking Solar Rock. My Name's Bill checked off Exford Norm soon after the start. Prince Archer and My Name's Bill collided back straight causing Prince Archer to falter. Pure Mania, Union Man and Exford Norm collided in the back straight checking Pure Mania. My Name's Bill and Lonesome Star collided approaching the first turn. Union Man checked off Exford Norm on the first turn. Pure Mania and Lonesome Star collided on the first turn. Solar Rock checked off Union Man on the first turn. Exford Norm checked off Henry The Hawk entering the home straight checking My name's Bill.
Union Man underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. John Higgins, the trainer regarding the greyhound's performance in the home straight.
