Moraine Lucy checked off Doonside Shadow approaching the first turn. Money Wheel and Arby's Phoebe collided on the first turn, checking Money Wheel. Texicali Master faltered on the first turn; causing Texicali Master and Mepunga Gem to collide, both greyhounds raced wide as a result; Texicali Master lost ground and tailed off.
