All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

Inga Charlie, Inga Lenny and Lubbock Lad were quick to begin.

Lightning Loki and Crown Rita collided soon after the start; checking Lightning Loki and Crown Rita; causing Crown Rita to lose ground and took no competitve part in the event.  Albert's Magic checked off Inga Lenny approaching the first turn.  Inga Lenny and Inga Charlie collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn.  Lubbock Lad and Saint Prue collided on the first turn.  Inga Lenny checked off Inga Charlie aproaching the home turn; checking both greyhounds.  Lightning Loki and Inga Lenny collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

Albert's Magic underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg spike wound injury.  No stand down period was imposed.

Crown Rita underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg spike wound injury.  No stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr Abraham Formosa, the representative of Crown Rita regarding its performance in this event.  After hearing evidence from Mr Formosa, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71 Crown Rita must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Vinny Dewalt, Inga Sadie, Lektra Asha and Solar Victory were quick to begin.

Speedy Cashew checked off Inga Sadie soon after the start.  Texicali Velvet and Maria Laguerta collided soon after the start.  Solar Victory and Vinny Dewalt collided approaching the first turn.  Solar Victory, Vinny Dewalt, Inga Sadie, Speedy Cashew and Lektra Asha collided on the first turn; checking Vinny Dewalt, Speedy Cashew, Lektra Asha, Texicali Velvet and Gold Comet; causing Texicali Velvet to race wide.  Vinny Dewalt and Lektra Asha collided approaching the home turn.  Lektra Asha checked off Gold Comet on the home turn.  Inga Sadie and Lektra Asha collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr Abraham Formosa regarding the racing manners of Vinny Dewalt approaching the winning post.  After hearing evidence from Mr Fosmosa, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.

Miss Belle – Late scratching at 10:52 am under GAR 37(4) on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian after the greyhound was found to be infested with fleas.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance stating the condition no longer exists before any future nomination will be accepted.

Inga Harry and Reiko Cleo were quick to begin.

Moonlight Jack and Lyrical Dad collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn; checking Moonlight Jack.  Lily Jane, Lyrical Dad and Fritter collided on the first turn; checking Lily Jane and Fritter.  Lyrical Dad visably eased in the home straight and turned its head out towards Inga Harry; checking Moonlight Jack and Inga Harry.

Lyrical Dad underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hindleg pad.  No stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to representative, Ms Tahlia Hodge regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B(1), Lyrical Dad was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Ms Hodge pleaded not guilty to the charge, Lyrical Dad was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B(1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Doonside Shadow – New declared weight of 25.6 kg, last raced at 27.0 kg.

Moraine Lucy and Doonside Shadow were quick to begin.

Crackerjack Cap and Money Wheel collided soon after the start.  Texicali Master and Mepunga Gem collided approaching the first turn.  Moraine Lucy checked off Doonside Shadow approaching the first turn.  Money Wheel and Arby's Phoebe collided on the first turn, checking Money Wheel.  Texicali Master faltered on the first turn; causing Texicali Master and Mepunga Gem to collide, both greyhounds raced wide as a result; Texicali Master lost ground and tailed off.  Aston Pablo and Arby's Phoebe collided in the home straight.

Texicali Master underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg flexor tendon injury.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Money Wheel underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg wrist injury.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.

Louie was quick to begin.

Solar Rock and Moraine Hallie collided soon after the start.  Pandorica, Blazing Rocks and Moraine Hallie collided approaching the first turn.  Pandorica checked off Louie on the first turn; checking Louie and Blazing Rocks; Louie lost ground and collided with Solar Rock as a result.  Blazing Rocks and Moraine Hallie collided in the home straight.

Louie underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hindleg paw.  No stand down period was imposed.

Zipping Dudley – Late scratching at 11:03 am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to left hindleg thigh injury.  A seven day stand down period was imposed. 

Mr Stephen Tabb was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound, Junior Marjen pursuant to GAR 33.

Hokkaido Miss and Junior Marjen were quick to begin.  Black Beaver was slow to begin.

Petula and Speedy Muffin collided on the first turn, checking Black Beaver.  Speedy Muffin checked off Petula approaching the home turn.

Send It Socks was quick to begin.

Nova's Girl and Cookie Deeds collided soon after the start.  Joe Baker and Amelie Otis collided soon after the start.  Cookie Deeds and Rockstar Haynes collided approaching the first turn, checking Rockstar Haynes.  Cookie Deeds and Amelie Otis collided on the first turn; checking Cookie Deeds, which lost ground.  Rockstar Haynes checked off Cookie Deeds approaching the home turn.  Amelie Otis and Nova's Girl collided entering the home straight.  Cawbourne Gout marred Joe Baker in the home straight.

Cookie Deeds underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 10.  Cookie Deeds was found to have an abrasion to the left foreleg.  No stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr Andrew Graham, the trainer of Cookie Deeds regarding the greyhound's performance in this event.  In accordance with GAR 75(1), the Stewards requested Mr Graham to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Cookie Deeds in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.

Cawbourne Gout underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left foreleg shoulder joint and wrist injuries, and spike wounds to the head, right foreleg, left and right hindlegs.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Ms Tahlia Hodge, the representative of Cawbourne Gout regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Cawbourne Gout was charged with marring.  Ms Hodge pleaded guilty to the charge, Cawbourne Gout was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Send It Socks - the winner of the event.

Supplementary Report 11.01.2022:

Trainer Mr A Graham reported to Stewards that upon examination the greyhound Cookie Deeds presented no injury.
