Steward's Report
Jet Like Rico and Mercury Icon were slow to begin. Security Man crossed in soon after the start checking Emma Banjo. Hacker crossed in on the first turn checking Security Man and Emma Banjo. Emma Banjo was checked off Security Man entering the home straight. Hacker turned its head outward in the home straight checking Jet Like Rico. Jet Like Rico and Hacker collided in the home straight.
Hacker underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the left hind leg. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Martinovic, the representative for Hacker regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Hacker was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Martinovic pleaded not guilty to the charge, Hacker was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
