Lektra Rhino and Supasonic Romeo collided approaching the first turn. Weblec Opal checked off Spitfire Striker approaching the first turn. Weblec Opal, Sugar Shane and Supasonic Romeo collided on the first turn causing Supasonic Romeo to race wide. Ice Ghost faltered approaching the home turn. Weblec Opal raced wide in the home straight. Sugar Shane, Spitfire Striker and Rather collided approaching the winning post.
Ice Ghost underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder joint injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed,
