Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, provided satisfactory evidence of vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination (workers) directions, undertook successful health screenings and observed social distance requirements that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Consumption was very slow to begin (4 lengths).

Jungle Baron checked off Flying Frank on the first turn.  Hummock and Pyrenees Prada raced wide and collided approaching the home turn.  Jungle Baron raced wide on the home turn and collided with Hummock, resulting in Jungle Baron being checked.

Jungle Baron underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right sartorius injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to representative Mr Josh Duncan regarding the greyhound's racing manners  on the home turn.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Duncan, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.

Mr. Fawnstone and Ava's Journey were slow to begin.

Greysynd Clipper checked off Texan Galore on the first turn.  Milo Rose and Mr. Fawnstone collided several times approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Tiggerlong Red and Hannah's Tiger collided on the first turn checking Tiggerlong Red.  Zipping James and Kinimakatka collided on the first turn.  Zipping James raced wide approaching the home turn.

Lektra Flying and Rockin' Diamonds were slow to begin.

Pumping Air and Miracle Belle collided soon after the start.  Pumping Air checked off Miracle Belle on the first turn.  Pumping Air and Miracle Belle both raced wide on the home.  Lektra Flying and Cherry Ola Baby collided approaching the winning post.  

Sugar Shane, Ice Ghost, Spitfire Striker and Extinguish were slow to begin.

Lektra Rhino and Supasonic Romeo collided approaching the first turn.  Weblec Opal checked off Spitfire Striker approaching the first turn.  Weblec Opal, Sugar Shane and Supasonic Romeo collided on the first turn causing Supasonic Romeo to race wide.  Ice Ghost faltered approaching the home turn.  Weblec Opal raced wide in the home straight.  Sugar Shane, Spitfire Striker and Rather collided approaching the winning post.

Ice Ghost underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder joint injury.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed,

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track following heavy rainfall in the area and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing.

Brecken Bale and Nitro Tommy were slow to begin.

Lektra Heckler, Fugacious and Aubameyang collided soon after the start checking Fugacious.  Buster Giblet, Lektra Heckler, Aubameyang and Kandinsky collided on the first turn.  Nitro Tommy raced wide on the first turn.  Lektra Heckler, Aubameyang and Kandinsky collided approaching the home turn checking Brecken Bale and severely checking Aubameyang.  Fugacious and Nitro Tommy collided on the home turn.  Fugacious checked off Nitro Tommy in the home straight.  Percy's Princess and Lektra Heckler collided approaching the winning post.  Kandinsky, Brecken Bale and Percy's Princess collided approaching the winning post.

A post-race sample was taken from Kandinsky - the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to trainer Ms Andrea Gurry regarding the scratching of Fearless Pigeon. Ms. Gurry who had two other runners (Blue Bandana and Hojilla Bale) engaged in the event advised Stewards that Fearless Pigeon was suffering an illness, Stewards noted her explanation.

This event started two minutes late due to operational issues.

Crackerjack Zave was slow to begin.

Hojilla Bale and Dynamite Miss collided approaching the first turn.  Banjo Bert, Blue Bandana and Crackerjack Zave collided on the first turn checking Blue Bandana.  Banjo Bert and Crackerjack Zave collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  

Swift Brittany was quick to begin.  Padrino Rocks and Rowchester Patty were slow to begin.

Aces Are Trumps and Swift Brittany collided approaching the first turn.  Padrino Rocks and Flaming Moses collided approaching the first turn.  Chelsea's Love checked off Padrino Rocks on the first turn.  Not Happening checked off Padrino Rocks on the first turn.  Chelsea's Love tailed off and was vetted following the event.

Following the event Chelsea's Love displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS).  As a result, the greyhound underwent a veterinary examination and was found to be displaying clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermetria.  A 14 day stand down penalty was imposed. Stewards spoke to Miss Briana Robertson-Leech, the trainer of Chelsea's Love. Miss Robertson-Leech indicated in her submissions that she would be retiring the greyhound. Stewards acted in accordance with GAR 74 and Chelsea's Love must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, plus a veterinary clearance of fitness before any future nomination will be accepted. GAR 20 (3)(v).

Coco To Burn was quick to begin.  Abby's Comet was slow to begin.

Abby's Comet checked off Lektra Gal soon after the start.  Reiko Barty checked off Tilly Divine approaching the first turn.  Tilly Divine, Josie Wags and Abby's Comet collided on the first turn checking Josie Wags.  Reiko Barty raced wide on the home turn.  

Red Sunset – Late scratching at 9:50am when trainer Mr J. Martinovic reported the greyhound to have lameness to the right hind leg (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Stunning One was quick to begin.  Wheelin' In was slow to begin.

Your Embrace went up with the lids at box rise.  Horizon Princess and Double 'Em Up collided on the first turn.  Stunning One, Bohemian Blue, Your Embrace and Wheelin' In collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds. Your Embrace checked off Bohemian Blue approaching the home turn.  

Aston Ryker and Rockstar Ohlmus collided soon after the start.  Smokin' Charlie and Hacker collided soon after the start checking Hacker.  Smokin' Charlie and Ironclad collided on the first turn checking On Pursuit.  Aston Sonic and Rockstar Ohlmus collided on the first turn checking Hacker.  Hacker raced wide on the home turn.  Ironclad and Aston Sonic collided on the home turn.  Smokin' Charlie and Hacker collided in the home straight.   Ironclad and Aston Sonic collided in the home straight checking Ironclad. 

The start was delayed by approximately1 minute to clear the track of wildlife.
