Steward's Report
Swift Brittany was quick to begin. Padrino Rocks and Rowchester Patty were slow to begin.
Aces Are Trumps and Swift Brittany collided approaching the first turn. Padrino Rocks and Flaming Moses collided approaching the first turn. Chelsea's Love checked off Padrino Rocks on the first turn. Not Happening checked off Padrino Rocks on the first turn. Chelsea's Love tailed off and was vetted following the event.
Following the event Chelsea's Love displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS). As a result, the greyhound underwent a veterinary examination and was found to be displaying clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermetria. A 14 day stand down penalty was imposed. Stewards spoke to Miss Briana Robertson-Leech, the trainer of Chelsea's Love. Miss Robertson-Leech indicated in her submissions that she would be retiring the greyhound. Stewards acted in accordance with GAR 74 and Chelsea's Love must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, plus a veterinary clearance of fitness before any future nomination will be accepted. GAR 20 (3)(v).
