Steward's Report
Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, provided satisfactory evidence of vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination (workers) directions, undertook successful health screenings and observed social distance requirements that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
Consumption was very slow to begin (4 lengths).
Jungle Baron checked off Flying Frank on the first turn. Hummock and Pyrenees Prada raced wide and collided approaching the home turn. Jungle Baron raced wide on the home turn and collided with Hummock, resulting in Jungle Baron being checked.
Jungle Baron underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right sartorius injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr Josh Duncan regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. After hearing evidence from Mr. Duncan, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.
