A pre-race sample was taken from Josie Wags.

Reiko Flash was slow to begin.

Cyber Crime and Abby's Comet collided approaching the first turn; severely checking Cyber Crime, which fell as a result.  Tilly Divine, Stunning One and Josie Wags collided on the first turn; checking Tilly Divine, Stunning One, Josie Wags and Abby's Comet.  Reiko Flash visably eased approaching the winning post.

Cyber Crime underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Reiko Flash underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg tarsal sprain injury; a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to representative, Ms Deborah Coleman regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B(1), Reiko Flash was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Ms Coleman pleaded not guilty to the charge, Reiko Flash was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B(1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
