Steward's Report
A sample was taken from Jonas at the trainer’s kennel earlier today.
Jonas – Late scratching at 4:17 pm, by Order of Stewards in the best interests of greyhound racing, in accordance with GAR 20(4)(b).
Groundbreaking and Hojilla Bale collided soon after the start. Spring Hondo checked off Inga Ollie on the first turn; severely checking Spring Hondo and Blazing Beast; checking Gotcha Laz. Groundbreaking faltered on the first turn and tailed off as a result. Gotcha Laz checked off Bill Bob Lad entering the home straight, checking Hojilla Bale.
Groundbreaking underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was revetted following race 12. Groundbreaking was found to have a left foreleg monkey muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
