Bolt Out went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.
Rampant Teresa checked off Fusion Spy approaching the first turn, checking Alabama Anna. Fusion Spy checked off Lektra Gal on the first turn, checking Merry Lass. Merry Lass and Crackerjack Keg collided on the first turn. Drakensberg Dot checked off Fusion Spy approaching the home turn, checking Rampant Teresa. Fusion Spy contacted the running rail on the home turn. Drakensberg Dot checked off Fusion Spy entering the home straight.
Fusion Spy underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg thigh muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Ms Tracey Salter was issued with a fine of $100 pursuant to GAR 86(o) for negligence, in that she failed to remove a prohibited item from the top of kennel 74 prior to the running of race 10 when requested to do so by kennel attendant, Mr D. Brooks.
